If you have an advanced degree or undergrad in Supply Chain from one of the top schools or an Engineering undergrad it is better to list your education at the top your resume, just under objective and/or summary. Otherwise it is better to list your education at the end of your resume. It is also important to list your certifications at the top of your resume ie; CQE, CPIM, CQA, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. These should either fall under education or Summary.

Personal information such as hobbies, married, children, etc. is not necessary to list on the resume itself. We will go more into that in the consultation.

It is best to keep your resume to no more than two pages. If it’s just over one page then reformat to keep it to one page. If it’s just over two pages then reformat to keep it to two pages. I typically discourage a three page resume and would rather see an addendum to highlight specifics to the opportunity at hand.

Under experience: Most importantly keep your chronological order in place at the very top, example; If you have worked for Ford since 1990, then list 1990-PR Ford Motor Company. Detail out the years in each position beside the position title. Give a brief description of your organizations product and sales just below the name of the company. Title would follow.

Job Descriptions: Key factors: Total annual volume of procured dollars, commodities purchased, number of suppliers, total number of direct and indirect reports. If you are in a P&L Operational role, it is best to include total annual sales. Under each title list accomplishments while in that role.
Be specific; If you saved 20% over a three year period, include the total dollars saved. If you reduced the supply base by 30% include the number of suppliers reduced. Please be specific to your accomplishments. If it is a team accomplishment then it should read, "As part of a team we saved 30% over a 12 month period." Your direct responsibilities should be the least part of the description, achievements and/or accomplishments should be the highlight. It is also important to list major Cross-functional activities. If you were part of a major new product development team, identify your role in that team along with your key attributes.
